I overcame the guilt of having pursued my career after my first child was born - Bhuvana (India)

I am Bhuvana. I want to introduce myself and share my experience. I used to work for IBM and I quit after I delivered my second baby. I have 2 wonderful girls, Radha and Sanjana, 7 and 5 years of age.

I met Jayshree at an art workshop in December 2008. I was sharing with her my concerns w.r.t. my relationship with my elder daughter. I used to always feel guilty about having pursued my career even after she was born. When my second child was born Radha went into a shell and it was hard for me to handle two small children, and I blamed myself for all the pain that my older child was going through. This feeling of guilt and pain continued and it came in the way of my relationship with Radha whenever I was handling her.

I went for a tapping session with Jayashree, and something really amazing happened to me. As she tapped me through I got over the guilt and pain and finally I saw that my body and mind had pushed themselves much more than they could have given, out of the love I had for my children. During the tapping I noticed that I had got rid of the guilt and was now thanking myself for pushing myself into giving more than I could. My relationship with my daughter is so different now. Though my daughter's behaviour towards me has not changed much I am able to accept it without associating it to guilt and that has given me tremendous freedom. I continue to tap as and when I find the need to get rid of some things I dont want to carry as a baggage.

I tap regularly for my younger child for her cough and colds. Earlier, she would wake up in the middle of the night most of the days and throw up because of the coughs. But after I started EFT on her,  she is able to sleep through the night peacefully. Yesterday, she had a small hurt on her hand and she started tapping on her own saying, "Even though I have hurt in my hand, I completely love and accept myself".

I felt really blessed to have come in contact with Jayashree at that moment.
