Workshop on Simple Breath Based Meditation (Ana Pana Sati)

Shri Rama Rao who has been practicing meditation for many years now has kindly agreed to give us a free workshop on a simple breath based meditation which you can practice by yourself at home. He will first describe the benefits and science behind the meditation and then lead us through a practice session on this. This meditation involves no mantra, no form of deity and simply encourages awareness of your breath. Regular meditation has many tangible benefits for your body and mind.
Here is what Shri Rama Rao has to say – “Meditation is very simple and easy. It is for everybody-irrespective of age, sex, religion etc. If you wish to

Just meditate by observing normal breath. No need to chant any mantra. Any time and any place is OK for ANA PANA SATI meditation. You can learn this simple technique and start your meditation immediately.”
Shri Rama Rao is a member of Pyramid Spiritual Society whose aim is to increase awareness and encourage a self reliant practice in meditation.
