Professionally trained as a graduate in Computer Science from Utah in the U.S.A, Jayashree initially pursued a career as a computer engineer in Microsoft. While working at Microsoft, Jayashree co-founded a non-profit Asha Seattle in 1994. Asha is a volunteer group that helps set up schools and learning centers in economically poor regions of India. Under her leadership, Asha Seattle has inspired over 700 volunteers in the Seattle area towards contributing their time and efforts in giving back to their community. She spent several months volunteering her time with NGOs in India. Her journey through Asha led her towards a deep interest in peace and education that leads to internal empowerment. Exploring this naturally led to spirituality and empowerment through the Self.
